On June 3rd 2024, the Long Island Wine & Liquor Sales Club (LIWLSC) honored Sophia Hong, Owner of Leiser’s Wine & Liquor at their 78^th Annual Golf Outing to benefit the AHRC Foundation. By partnering with community-based organizations that create impact and opportunities within the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities, the AHRC Foundation focuses its funding programs that advance health and education while promoting independence and inclusion.

“In the late 1940’s, the members of the Long Island Wine & Liquor Sales Club embraced the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities, and they have never let go,” said Mary McNamara, AHRC Foundation Director, “for over seven decades, the LIWLSC has stood strong”

The LIWLSC commitment to the cause and their important fundraising dollars have made generations of opportunities possible.  New construction, renovations, innovative equipment, as well as pilot funds have created opportunities that would not have been possible. 

“The LIWLSC is proud of its enduring commitment to children and adults with developmental disabilities,” said Charles Maneri, President of the LIWLSC.  “I look forward to working with my club members and welcome leaders throughout the wine and liquor industry to join with us in creating a better future for us all.”
